Test plan:
1) Look at the same biblio on both OPAC and Staff:
http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/detail.pl?biblionumber=76http://localhost:8080/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=76
2) Click on the 'current library' column header for OPAC and 'Home
library' for staff. Notice that on Staff when it's DESC, arrow points
down (as expected), but on OPAC when it's DESC, the arrows points up.
3) Apply patch. Reset CSS:
yarn css:build
4) Do a hard refresh on the OPAC. Repeat test plan. Notice they now
behave the same.

This applies only to the basic editor, but for both bibs and authorities
To test:
1 - Open a bib in the basic editor, see that the control fields show the subfield tag value label and that the value of 00 is slightly cut off in the display
2 - Open an authority in the basic editor and confirm same
3 - apply patch
4 - reload your records and see that the subfield value and label are now hidden for control fields in both bib and authrority editing

The REST API can return translated strings to the opac or staff
interface, so it should respect the KohaOpacLanguage cookie and return
translations in the same language than the interface.
Test plan:
1. Do not apply patch yet
2. Log in to koha staff interface
3. Use the browser's devtools to get the value of CGISESSID cookie
4. Make sure you have at least 2 languages installed ('en' + another
one - I'll use 'fr-FR' as an example in this test plan)
5. Find an item and note its itemnumber and itemtype
6. Go translate this itemtype's description (admin » item types » edit
item type » translate). Add a translation for 'en' and another one
for your language.
7. Close your browser tab (do not logout) and restart Koha to flush the
memory cache.
8. Execute the following commands (replace variables by the correct
value):
curl -sSL "$KOHA_URL/api/v1/items/$ITEMNUMBER" \
-H 'x-koha-embed: +strings' \
-H "Cookie: KohaOpacLanguage=en; CGISESSID=$CGISESSID" \
| jq -r '._strings.item_type_id.str'
If you do not have jq, it can be found in most distributions
packages. Or you could inspect the JSON manually at the path
/_strings/item_type_id/str
Restart Koha again, and execute the same command but with your
language set in KohaOpacLanguage cookie:
curl -sSL "$KOHA_URL/api/v1/items/$ITEMNUMBER" \
-H 'x-koha-embed: +strings' \
-H "Cookie: KohaOpacLanguage=fr-FR; CGISESSID=$CGISESSID" \
| jq -r '._strings.item_type_id.str'
Depending on how Koha sort the languages (not sure how it's done),
you should get either the 'en' one or the 'fr-FR' one, but the
important thing is you should get the same translation, no matter
what the value of KohaOpacLanguage is, which is the issue this patch
is trying to fix.
9. Apply the patch and restart Koha
10. Repeat step 8. This time you should get the translation
corresponding to the language set in KohaOpacLanguage cookie
Side note:
* The need to restart Koha before each request is due to a bug (see bug
38454). If already pushed when you're testing this one, you don't have
to restart.

When NotifyPasswordChange is enabled and GetPreparedLetter fails to find
a PASSWORD_CHANGE letter template, the set_password method was returning
early with undef, preventing the password from being changed.
This fixes the issue by:
1. Removing the 'or return;' statement after GetPreparedLetter
2. Wrapping the letter processing in an if block to handle missing templates
3. Ensuring password change continues regardless of notification success
The password change should not fail just because the notification cannot
be sent. The notification is a nice-to-have feature, but the core
functionality (changing the password) should always work.
Test plan:
1. Apply the tests patch

but there is no PASSWORD_CHANGE letter template, the set_password method
fails silently and returns undef instead of changing the password.

When a calendar widget has been initiated as a date range selector (as
it is when creating a new booking), the selected dates are added to the
input field as "0000-00-00 to 0000-00-00". This "to" needs to be
translatable.
To test, apply the patch and test that the correct strings are
translatable. In this example I'm testing fr-FR:
- Update a translation:
> gulp po:update --lang fr-FR
> cd misc/translator
> perl translate update fr-FR
- Open the corresponding .po file for the strings pulled from
JavaScript e.g. misc/translator/po/fr-FR-messages-js.po
- Locate strings pulled from intranet-tmpl/prog/js/calendar.js for
translation, e.g.:
#: koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/js/calendar.js:144
msgctxt "As in, from date1 to date2"
msgid "to"
msgstr ""
- Edit the "msgstr" string however you want (it's just for testing)
- Install the updated translation:
> perl translate install fr-FR
- In the staff interface, locate an bibliographic record with items and
change the "Bookable" option from the item details screen.
- Switch to your updated translation in the staff interface.
- Click the "Place booking" button.
- Fill out all the fields in the "Place booking" modal.
- After you select a date range, the "Booking dates" input field should
show your translated text.

This patch modifies the template which is used to display additional
author information if OPACAuthorIdentifiersAndInformation is displayed.
The change prevents an empty list item from appearing.
To test, apply the patch and go to system preferences in the staff
interface.
- Search for OPACAuthorIdentifiersAndInformation and make sure that
"Identifiers (024$2$a)" is checked.
- Have a record with at least 2 persons (100, 700) linked to an
authority record
- One of those authority records should not have an 024 tag
- The other authority record should have two 024 tags:
- 024 $a someidyoumakeup $2orcid
- 024 $a someidyoumakeup $2somethingelse
- Check the detail page in OPAC -> "Author information" tab
- Check the authority detail page in OPAC, under "Author information"
in the right-hand column.
Before the patch, '$2somethingelse' is not "supported" and will create
the empty list element. After the patch there should be no empty list
item.

This patch adds test coverage for the new booking status management
in AddIssue:
Test scenarios covered:
- Patron checking out their own booked item (marks as completed)
- Different patron checking out booked item during actual booking period
(cancels booking)
- Checkout conflicts only during lead period (preserves booking, respects
librarian decision)
- Checkout period encompassing entire booking period (cancels booking)
- No booking present (normal operation)
Tests ensure proper booking lifecycle management and validate that
librarian override scenarios work as intended.
To test:
1. Apply all patches
2. Run: prove t/db_dependent/Circulation.t
3. Verify all booking status handling scenarios pass
The test plans now provide:
- Step-by-step instructions for manual testing
- Multiple scenarios covering different use cases
- Clear expectations for what should happen in each case
- Practical workflow that staff would actually follow
- Edge cases like lead period conflicts and overrides

This follow-up addresses critical issues in the initial implementation:
1. **Patron Ownership Check**: Only mark bookings as 'completed' when
the patron checking out the item is the same patron who made the booking
2. **Smart Cancellation**: When another patron checks out an item that
conflicts with an existing booking:
- Cancel the booking only if checkout overlaps with actual booking period
- Respect lead/trail periods - don't cancel if conflict is only during
preparation periods (allows librarian override scenarios)
3. **Date Logic**: Proper overlap detection using start_date and end_date
rather than periods extended by lead time
This prevents incorrect booking completion and handles librarian override
scenarios appropriately.
Test plan:
1. Apply previous patch and this follow-up
2. Enable bookings and create a bookable item
Test A - Patron's own booking completion:
3. Create booking for Patron A: start = today, end = +7 days
4. Check out item to Patron A (due date = +5 days)
5. Verify booking status = 'completed'
Test B - Lead period override scenario:
11. Return item, set bookings_lead_period circulation rule = 3 days
12. Create booking for Patron A: start = +5 days, end = +8 days
13. Check out item to Patron B (due date = +4 days) - conflicts with lead period
14. Override the booking conflict warning
15. Verify Patron A's booking status remains 'new' (not cancelled)
16. This respects librarian's decision that item will return in time
Test C - No booking scenario:
17. Return item, ensure no active bookings exist
18. Check out item to any patron

This patch adds logic to automatically mark a patron's booking as
'completed' when they check out the item they have booked.
When AddIssue is called, the system now:
- Checks if there's a conflicting booking for the checkout period
- Marks the booking status as 'completed' if found
This ensures booking status accurately reflects when items are
actually checked out to fulfill bookings.
Test plan:
1. Enable bookings system preference
2. Create a bookable item (set bookable = 1 in items table or via item editor)
3. Create a booking for a patron for that item with start date = today,
end date = 7 days from now
4. Go to circulation and check out the item to the same patron who made
the booking
5. Check the booking status in the database or via the bookings interface
6. Verify the booking status has changed from 'new' to 'completed'
7. Confirm the checkout was successful and shows normally in patron's
checkouts list

Test :
- create an acquisition basket
- add at least one record
- close the basket (the "export as CSV" link is present)
- attach the basket to a basket group
- check that the "export as CSV" link, next to "reopen the basket" is
now gone.
- apply patch and reload the page (may need reload plack, cache, etc...)
- "export as CSV" link is now present even though the basket is
closed and it is attached to a basket group.

Currently, advanced bibliographic records editor creates empty
subfields (or even empty fields) when no content is placed after
‡<code> (or, in case of control fields, after <tag>).
Test plan:
==========
1. Enable EnableAdvancedCatalogingEditor (have StripWhitespaceChars
set to "Don't strip" - the default setting).
2. Open a record in the advanced editor, create empty subfield and
empty fields, e.g.:
007
500 _ _ ‡a
246 3 1 ‡aAdditional title :‡b
3. Save the record. Go to bibliographic record Normal view and in
modal "MARC preview" notice that the fields / subfields you entered as
empty exist in the record with no data. This is wrong.
4. Apply the patch ; restart_all.
5. Repeat p. 2 and 3. Note that empty fields/subfields have not been
created.

Query parameters break the manual mappings in vue modules.
If a url in a vue module contains query parameters the mapping for the manual fails and redirects to the homepage when 'Help' is clicked
To reproduce navigate to the agreements page in ERM and create at least one. On the list page, use the filters so that you have query parameters in the page URL. Click the 'Help' button - you just get the manual home page

Bug 35560 includes a FIXME noting that it does not properly maintain the display of hold cancellation reasons introduced in bug 26281.
Test Plan:
1) Place a hold and cancel it with a reason
2) Browse to the patron's hold history, note the FIXME shown instead of
the reason
3) Apply this patch
4) Reload the patch
5) You should now see the cancellation reason instead of FIXME!
