When bug 20212 was pushed, we lost (didn't dig enough to find out how)
the sorting feature for this route.
This is mainly because biblio+biblioitems filtering prevents the route
to use plain $c->objects->search, so it has baked a custom version of
it. In this case, it missed the call to the dbic_merge_sorting helper,
that takes care of reading the query parameters and inject the sorting
attributes to the resultset.
To test:

check_cookie_auth is assuming that the user is authenticated if a cookie exists
and that the login/username exists in the DB.
So basically if you hit the login page, fill the login input with a
valid username, click "login"
=> A cookie will be generated, and the sessions table will contain a
line with this session id.
On the second hit, if the username is in the DB, it will be enough to be
considered authenticated.

On bug 17591 we discovered that there was something weird going on with
the way we export and use subroutines/modules.
This patch tries to standardize our EXPORT to use EXPORT_OK only.
That way we will need to explicitely define the subroutine we want to
use from a module.
This patch is a squashed version of:
Bug 17600: After export.pl
Bug 17600: After perlimport
Bug 17600: Manual changes
Bug 17600: Other manual changes after second perlimports run
Bug 17600: Fix tests
And a lot of other manual changes.
export.pl is a dirty script that can be found on bug 17600.
"perlimport" is:
git clone https://github.com/oalders/App-perlimports.git
cd App-perlimports/
cpanm --installdeps .
export PERL5LIB="$PERL5LIB:/kohadevbox/koha/App-perlimports/lib"
find . \( -name "*.pl" -o -name "*.pm" \) -exec perl App-perlimports/script/perlimports --inplace-edit --no-preserve-unused --filename {} \;
The ideas of this patch are to:
* use EXPORT_OK instead of EXPORT
* perltidy the EXPORT_OK list
* remove '&' before the subroutine names
* remove some uneeded use statements
* explicitely import the subroutines we need within the controllers or
modules
Note that the private subroutines (starting with _) should not be
exported (and not used from outside of the module except from tests).
EXPORT vs EXPORT_OK (from
https://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/06/perl-exporter-examples/)
"""
Export allows to export the functions and variables of modules to user’s namespace using the standard import method. This way, we don’t need to create the objects for the modules to access it’s members.
@EXPORT and @EXPORT_OK are the two main variables used during export operation.
@EXPORT contains list of symbols (subroutines and variables) of the module to be exported into the caller namespace.
@EXPORT_OK does export of symbols on demand basis.
"""
If this patch caused a conflict with a patch you wrote prior to its
push:
* Make sure you are not reintroducing a "use" statement that has been
removed
* "$subroutine" is not exported by the C4::$MODULE module
means that you need to add the subroutine to the @EXPORT_OK list
* Bareword "$subroutine" not allowed while "strict subs"
means that you didn't imported the subroutine from the module:
- use $MODULE qw( $subroutine list );
You can also use the fully qualified namespace: C4::$MODULE::$subroutine

This patch fixes a double-encoding issue with MiJ output.
Mojolicious' *text* renderer encodes the passed information according to
the request context. [1]
MARC::Record::MiJ->to_mij, conveniently encodes the string before
output [2].
This causes double encoding.
So the solution to this situation, is to use the *data* renderer, which
doesn't perform any encoding [3].
To test:

--header 'Accept: application/marc-in-json'
(replace the record id with the one you've chosen)
=> FAIL: Boo, double encoding
5. Bonus point: you can try it on the non-public route, but you need
more configuration boilerplate (basic auth, permissions). If you look
at the fix, you will understand the tests cover it and no need to
complicate yourself.

I added a few tests to cover additional cases and found the operator precedence
was failing, switched 'and' to '&&'

Bug 26181 introduced a way to override behavior through a new header,
x-koha-override. And bug 27760 introduced a generic approach to handle
x-koha-override.
This patchset makes the POST /api/v1/holds route rely on this new way of
handling x-koha-override instead of doing it manually.
The header is added to the spec as a parameter.
Note: the header should be defined as:
"type": "array",
"collectionFormat": "csv",
"items": {
"type": "string",
"enum": [
"any"
]
}
but the versions of JSON::Validator we use have lots of bugs related to
header type coercion, so it just doesn't work. The changelog for
JSON::Validator is fairly elocuent about it.
The override now takes a list of valid keywords (right now only 'any'
but it would be fairly straight-forward to add a fairly granular set of
options based on each possible AddReserve failure.

This patch improves the POD for the added helper, and also adds
references to the JSON::Validator issue that explains the current
implementation. A FIXME is added for when we upgrade our used
JSON::Validator version.

By making this method call the helper, we make sure the overrides
hashref is available to any controller to make us of it.
To test:
1. Apply this patches
2. Run:
$ kshell
k$ prove t/db_dependent/api/v1/auth_authenticate_api_request.t \
t/Koha/REST/Plugin/Query.t
=> SUCCESS: Tests pass! The helper works as expected and the
authenticate_api_request method invokes it!

This patch adds a simple helper that reads the x-koha-override request
header, and processes it to stash a hashref with the passed overrides.
No check on the overrides themselves is done, as they should be
validated using the OpenAPI spec.

This patch adds the mentioned route. It does so by:
- Adding the new path in paths.json
- Adding the full route spec in biblios.json
- Adds a controller method that takes care of the task
To test:
1. Apply this patches
2. Run:
$ kshell
k$ prove t/db_dependent/api/v1/biblios.t
=> SUCCESS: Tests pass!
3. Play with your favourite REST tool. Pay special care to
the AllowHoldPolicyOverride syspref and the expected behaviors.
=> SUCCESS: All works as expected

This patch updates the return value of Koha::Account::Line->apply to return the
updated Koha::Account::Line object with Koha::Object::Messages embedded
for the results of any triggered renewals.
Available credit, the former return value, is still availabe via the
object directly as `amountoutstanding`.
Koha::REST::V1::Patrons::Account->add_credit has been updated to reflect
the change. No other area's of Koha relied upon the return value.
This patch also fixes a bug whereby if you passed a list of debits with
an outstanding debit larger than the outstanding credit then you could
end up with superflous offest lines with zero amounts that was
highlighted by the improved unit tests in
t/db_dependent/Koha/Account/Line.t
Test plan
1/ Run t/db_dependent/Koha/Account/Line.t
2/ Run t/db_dependent/api/v1/patrons_accounts.t
3/ If both tests pass then signoff

This patch adds support for the 'extended_attributes' parameter in the
route for adding a patron. It relies on
Koha::Patron->extended_attributes for the tests. Exceptions are catch
and the whole operation is rolled back.
I chose to handle each exception on its own if branch, with bug 28020 in
mind.

1. Apply this patchset
2. Run:

This patch introduces a new header handling. The key idea is that on
Koha's base classes there's broad usage of C4::Context->userenv to
determine the current library and make decisions based on that.
API requests, on the other hand, might not be tied to sessions
(stateless) which is the way current library is retrieved. So we need a
way to properly specify what library the request is trying to act as
coming from.
