Test plan:
1) Launch k-t-d with ES:
-- ktd --es7 pull
-- ktd --es7 up
2) Visit /cgi-bin/koha/authorities/authorities-home.pl and search for 'tim'
3) Edit that, add a dash '-' to 100$a, like 'Bunce, Tim - name'"
4) Do a authority search for 'tim - name', notice it errors out
5) Apply patch
6) Perform the same search, notice it doesn't error and returns the correct record

In MARC 21, having title search field defined in mappings.yaml as 245abp
(more than one subfield), the Koha generated title__sort will have not
only $a, but also other subfields cut by ind2 characters, i.e.:
245 04 $a Die Renaissance : $b Architektur, Plastik, Malerei, Illustrationen, Zeichnungen
becomes as title__sort:
Renaissance : itektur, Plastik, Malerei, Illustrationen, Zeichnungen
instead of:
Renaissance : Architektur, Plastik, Malerei, Illustrationen, Zeichnungen
This is because copying an array of pointers in Perl causes you to
point to the same (anonymous) element. Therefore, the intended
modification only for subfield "a"
(Koha/SearchEngine/Elasticsearch.pm, ~line 1157) causes in fact
modification for all the subfields sharing the same mapping
definition and introduction of the nonfiling_characters_indicator to
all subfields 245 when processing 245abp. And this is obviously not
what is intended and results (in some cases) with bad sort order
when sorting by titles.
Test plan
=========
1. Have a standard Koha ES installation. In mappings.yaml
you should have 245abp for title search field.
2. Insert / download / modify a record with 245 $b or $p,
an article at the beginning of the title, and correctly
set 2nd indicator. For instance:
245 04 $a Die Renaissance : $b Architektur, Plastik, Malerei, Illustrationen, Zeichnungen
3. In ES, with Kibana or culr, control the content of
title__sort field for the related document. It will be:
Renaissance : itektur, Plastik, Malerei, Illustrationen, Zeichnungen
4. Apply the patch, full reindex ES (--rebuild -r -d -a -b)
5. In ES, with Kibana or culr, control the content of
title__sort field for the related document. It should
be now correct, i.e.:
Renaissance : Architektur, Plastik, Malerei, Illustrationen, Zeichnungen

The feature of searching within search results in librarian
interface has some problems with with elastic: 'Keyword' and
'Keyword as phrase' searches give no results. This is because
elastic is unaware of the search field 'kw' and 'kw' is not
transformed nor removed for limits.
Test plan
=========
1. Have a Koha instance with reasonable number of biblio records
1. Set SearchEngine to Elasticsearch
3. In librarian interface, perform a search that would give
you a list of results
4. With the new search box 'Search within results', having 'Keyword'
and 'Keyword as phrase' active, try to perform a search within
search results with a term that should give you some results
5. You should get no results
6. Apply the patch
7. Repeat steps 3 and 4
8. You should get expected results. Note the difference between
'Keyword' and 'Keyword as phrase' in results

Before this patch we used two indexes for the thesaurus values, we can
simply index both needed fields into a single index and just form the
search correctly.
This patch also ensures we pass the 'thesaurus' vlaue for the heading
directly to the query builder - for zebra it goes through, and for ES
we convert it to the expected code.
This patch also moves the necessary mappings out of the user definable
mappings and hardcodes them. There is precedent for this with
'match-heading', it ensures matching works as expected

This patch alters the code in the ES QueryBuilder. Reflecting
how things are handled in build_query_compat we clean the query,
but not the limits. In Zebra we simply recursivly call buildQuery,
but the ES query structure
This patchset adds a new ability to save searches on the staff client, and display them in the results
page on staff or opac as a new filter.
New filters can be added from the results page after a search, and there is an admin page for updating
deleting and renaming filters
There is a new permission to control management of these filters
New filters can be added that are not displayed along with facets, this allows for building custom links
using these filters to keep URLs shorter
Due to bug 30528 testing in ES is recommended
To test:
1 - Apply patches and update database and restart all
2 - Enable new system preference 'SavedSearchFilters'
3 - As superlibrarian perform a search in staff client, something broad like 'a'
4 - Note new 'Save search as filter' link on results page
5 - Click it, save search as new filter, check 'Staff client' visibility
6 - Perform another search
7 - Note the filter now appears above facets
8 - Click to it filter results
9 - Note results are limited by the new filter, and it is checked in the facets
10 - Confirm click the [x] removes the filter
11 - Go to administration->search filters
12 - Confirm the filter appears
13 - Edit and mark as OPAC visible
14 - Test OPAC to ensure it shows and can be applied/removed
15 - Copy URL with filter applied
16 - In adminsitration mark filter as not visible on staff or opac
17 - Confirm link above still works
18 - Create a new staff with catalogue and search filters permission
19 - Ensure they can access/save filters
20 - Remove filter permission and ensure they cannot
21 - Disable system preference
22 - Confirm links to search filters page are removed from admin home and admin sidebar
23 - Confirm filters do not appear on results and cannot be created
24 - Enable pref
25 - Create a filter
26 - From search filters page, click 'Edit search'
27 - Confirm you are taken to advanced search page letting you know which filter you are editing
28 - Confirm you can change searhc options and save
29 - Confirm you can perform the search from this page

This patch strips the blank facets from the ES aggregations, this seems
to only affect language fields currently, but could affect any facetable field
that can contain blank values
To test:
1 - Have Koha running Elasticsearch with standard test data,
or add some records with blank values in the 008/35-37
2 - Search for 'a'
3 - Look at the language facets, they should appear normal
4 - Browse to:

5 - Note there is now an 'x' under the Languages facet - to remove a limit you cannot see

This patch allows subject headings from different thesaurus to co-exist in Koha.
Test plan:
1. Enable Elasticsearch as the search engine (SearchEngine system preference =
Elasticsearch) and reindex (koha-elasticsearch --rebuild -d -b -a kohadev).
2. Load sample authority records attached to the bug (in this case the
authorities.mrc file was saved in the koha directory - adjust file location as
appropriate):
misc/migration_tools/bulkmarcimport.pl -v -a -file authorities.mrc -insert
-c=MARC21
3. Load the sample bibliographic record attached to the bug:
misc/migration_tools/bulkmarcimport.pl -v -b -file biblios.mrc -insert
-c=MARC21
4. Search for ISBN 0704328623 and verify that the subject terms are not linked
to any authority records (if you hover over the link terms, all links should
look like ../cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/search.pl?q=su:"subjectterm" - none should
have any ?q=an:XXX (where XXX = authority record ids) in the link).
5. Apply the patches.
6. Reset the Elasticsearch mappings (Administration > Catalog > Search engine
configuration (Elasticsearch)).
7. Reindex: koha-elasticsearch --rebuild -d -b -a kohadev
8. Link bibliographic records to authority records:
misc/link_bibs_to_authorities.pl -v -l
9. Repeat the search in step 4 (or refresh the record details page) and verify
that the first three Feminism headings[1] are linked to an authority record
(should have ?q=an:XXX (where XXX = different authority record IDs for the
various feminism authority records linked to a specific thesaurus)).
10. Reindex: koha-elasticsearch --rebuild -d -b -a kohadev

different depending on how ou are testing):

Previous commit correctly lists Zebra availability test, but was a
bad edit. This fixes the availability test to use itemlost
Additiionally, tests were written before limits were agreed. Adjusted

In Zebra the availability limit code states:
'available' is defined as (items.onloan is NULL) and (items.itemlost = 0)
We should make ES follow the same behaviour so that changing the engine does not
change this.
To test:
1 - Find or create several records with two items each
2 - For those records setup items as:
a - one checked out, one available
b - both marked lost
c - both damaged
d - both withdrawn
e - both notforloan
3 - Enable ES and reindex to confirm everything is set
4 - Perform an advanced search to return those records and 'limit to available items'
5 - Confirm you see records b,c,d,e and records say '2 items, none available'
6 - Apply patch
7 - Run `misc/search_tools/rebuild_elasticsearch.pl -d -b`
8 - Perform an advanced search to return those records and 'limit to available items'

We noticed that several characters will break Zebra queries. So search
terms need to be quoted for things to work. In this context, double

When defining our sort fields in we defined all as 'numeric'
For other string containing numbers this is likely correct, however,
for callnumbers it is not. e.g. E45 should sort before E7
This patch adds a new 'callnumber' type and deifnes this for cn-sort and
adds to the field maping a sort without numeric set

include_type_name

It removes the deprecation warning we are seeing, and should allow using ES7 with no other chnages.
For ES8 we will need to remove the hardcoded type,
I would suggest a second patch, with a new syspref "ElasticsearchLegacyType" set to 'True' by default.
Description can explain that this must be set to false, and data reindexed after upgrading to ES7 and before
upgrading to ES8 - then we can drop this pref when we drop ES7 support
When we drop ES6 support the pref can be set default true for upgrades, default 'false' for new installs

In C4::AuthoritiesMarc::merge, we search all biblio records using an authority with Koha::Authorities->linked_biblionumbers().
This method uses simple_search_compat() with no results limit, even saying in comment :
44d6528b56/Koha/Authorities.pm (L80)
With Zebra searchengin it is correct.
But not with Elasticsearch, there is an hardcoded limit at 100 in case no limit is given :
44d6528b56/Koha/SearchEngine/Elasticsearch/Search.pm (L346)
This means authorities links are wrong after a merge or an edit in case the authority is used in more than 100 biblio records.
:(
I propose to fix by using by default the real server max given by Koha::SearchEngine::Elasticsearch::Search::max_result_window().
This will allow a huge limit nearly impossible to reach.
See Bug 30882 to how increase this limit.
Test plan :
1) Use Elasticsearch search engine
2) Use an authority id=111 linked to 200 biblio records
3) Perform a search 'an:111', you get 200 results
4) Create a new authority id=222 linked to 2 biblio records
5) Perform a search 'an:222', you get 2 results
6) Perform a merge of the two authorties, keeping id=222
7) Perform a search 'an:111'
without patch you get 100 results
with patch you get no results
8) Perform a search 'an:222'
without patch you get 102 results
with patch you get 202 results

This patch adds a background job submodule, UpdateElasticIndex, to deal
with async ES index update (not the deletion).
Using NYTProf (on a checkin):
Without
618ms, executing 35676 statements and 26355 subroutine calls in 266 source files and 83 string evals.
With
521ms, executing 13282 statements and 7979 subroutine calls in 195 source files and 26 string evals.
However there are some problems with this patch:
1. We don't want *all* the index update to be in the background_jobs
tabtle (we could add a filter on the list view)
2. We don't track the "progress" of the job as we are sending all the
records to Elastic. It is okish in my opinion but it must be noted.

I need to add a 'request_timeout' entry to the ES configuration to fix some timeout problems on the sandboxes.
Instead of hard coding this new option it seems preferable to be
flexible and allow different options to be passed from the config file.
Test plan:
Add to the $KOHA_CONF, inside the elasticsearch section
<request_timeout>60</request_timeout>
Rebuild the ES index
koha-elasticsearch --rebuild kohadev
Change the value of the timeout to 1
Rebuild the index
It should fail (with a quite bad error 'Bad response received when
submitting request to Elasticsearch')

This expands the regex to handle this specific case
To test:
1 - Load record created for last patch
2 - Note analytics error
3 - Apply patch
4 - Restart and reload
5 - No more errorm also no Analytics link
6 - Add a 773$t to a record with title used before:
Digger does it all (not really!)
7 - reload the initial record
8 - See 'Show analytics' link
9 - Click the link
10 - You should end up on the record you added the 773 to

Test plan:
1. Create an authority with at least a 1XX$a and a 4XX$a, for instance:
100 $a Foo
400 $a Bar
2. Create a biblio and add a link to this authority using the
cataloguing plugin
3. Disable syspref IncludeSeeFromInSearches
4. Reindex the biblio. You should be able to find it when searching
'Foo' but not when searching 'Bar'
5. Enable syspref IncludeSeeFromInSearches
6. Reindex the biblio. You should be able to find it when searching
'Foo' and also when searching 'Bar'
without the patch, 'Bar' doesn't yeld results. With it, it does.
7. prove t/db_dependent/Koha/SearchEngine/Elasticsearch.t

This bug adds a system preference to control ordering of facets and
adds the control to both Zebra and Elasticsearch
To test:
1 - Have a koha that can use both Zebra and ES
2 - Set 'displayFacetCount' to true
3 - Search in ES and Zebra
4 - Note facets in Zebra sorted alphabetically, ES by usage
5 - Apply patch, updatedatabase
6 - Search in ES and Zebra, facets are alphabetically sorted in both
7 - Find new syspref FacetOrder and set to 'by usage'
8 - Search in both engines, facets sorted by usage

Test plan:
- Create a biblio with title like "osteuropa:" or "osteuropa!"
- Go the this biblio detail pages (cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/detail.pl)
=> Error
- Apply bug 28316 and this one
- test again

With all the work that's gone into improving the internal
_clean_search_term method I feel we should expose it publically as it's
going to be more widely helpful

if QueryAutoTruncate enabled we will have any special operators ruined
for example: "test [6 TO 7]" will be converted to "test* [6* TO* 7]"
so no reason to keep ranges when QueryAutoTruncate set to "enabled"
1) enable QueryAutoTruncate at your sysprefs.
2) perform a search using range, for example: "[1999 TO 2020]",
it shouldn't work the way it's supposed to.
3) apply the patch.
4) perform the same search with range, ensure that it works correctly.
