This patch adds a bookable boolean to enable/disable the ability to book
an item ahead of time
Test plan
1) Navigate to the 'Items' tab of a biblio
2) Note the new 'Bookable' option and select at least one item to allow
bookings to take place
3) Note that without any items selected as 'bookable' one does not have
the 'Place booking' option or the 'Bookings' tab on the biblio
details page.
4) Note that when at least one item is bookable, the place booking modal
now only displays items that are marked as bookable in the item
selection

This patch introduces a new modal to the biblio details page to allow
booking of materials.
Test plan
1) Navigate to the details page of a biblio
2) Note the new 'Place booking' button in the toolbar
3) Click the new button and note the new modal dialogue
4) Enter part of a patron name or cardnumber and then select from the
presented results
5) Optionally pick an item from the select list
6) Select a start date and end date from the calender
7) Submit
8) Attempt to book the same item to another user, note that the dates
previously selected are now greyed out.
9) Experiment with different items and all items options to confirm the
available slots in the datepicker update as expected.

Ther are options that allow avoiding marking an issue returned when se tot lost.
Libraries do this to tie a lost item to a patron clearly.
Eventually, after the patron has paid, or after some time, the library may wish
to delete the item. When doing so, they do not wish to check the item in and affect any statuses
or fines. This is also true for withdrawn items
It would be helpful to have a way to mark issues returned in bulk, when they have not been marked
returned in the past
To test:
1 - Apply patches
2 - Restart all
3 - Set 'MarkLostItemsAsReturned' system preferences to 'None'
4 - Check out some items that have replacement fees set
5 - Mark them lost
6 - Check out more items, mark them withdrawn
7 - Set system preference 'BlockReturnOfWithdrawnItems' to block
8 - Enter item barcodes into batch modification
9 - Leave 'Mark items returned as blank
10 - Verify nothing was checked in
11 - Repeat but set 'Mark items as returned' to 'No'
12 - Verify nothing was checked in
13 - Repeat, but set 'Mark items as returned' to 'Yes'
14 - Verify items are returned
15 - Verify no fines have been adjusted
16 - Verify withdrawn items are sitll withdrawn
17 - Verify you can now delete the items

Holds to pull should not show items from other branches that shares a
record when IndependentBranches is active. Except for superlibrarians.
Test plan:
1- Have IndependentBranches set to Yes
2- Have a record with an item from the current branch and another item from a different branch. We will call them branch A and branch B respectively
3- Have a patron from branch A place a hold on that record
4- Have a staff account on branch A and B with the following permissions:
- circulate (all)
- catalogue
5- Go to circulation > holds to pull
6- Notice under "Libraries" it displays branch A and B. Also, it shows 2 under "Items available"
7- Checkout the item from branch A to another patron
8- Go back to circulation > holds to pull
9- Notice under "Libraries" it displays branch B even though we are in branch A
10- Apply the patch
11- Return the checked out item from step 7
12- Redo step 5 to 9 with superlibrarian privileges and notice nothing changed
13- Redo step 11-12 but using accounts from step 4 and notice Holds to
pull only shows information relevant to their branch

When using the batch record modification tool to modify several
bibliographic records, we don't want to send one index request per
biblio, we want to index them all on the fly after the records have been
modified.
Otherwise we will end up with one task per record, and records will be
indexed in background.
Test plan:
Use the batch mod tool to modify bibliographic records and confirm the
behaviour is correct.

This patch adds support for regular expression capture groups in
MarcModificationTemplates.
We escape double quotes in the replacement string, then quote the whole
string before applying the `ee` modifier to the final regex
application.
See https://blog.james.rcpt.to/2010/10/25/perl-search-and-replace-using-variables/
for further details.
Test plan
1) Attempt to use capture groups in your regular expression based
batch item modification and note it does not work.
2) Apply the patch and try again, this time the capture group
should yield the expected results.
3) Run t/SimpleMARC.t and confirm the tests still pass.

Here we go!
Disclaimer: this patch is huge and does many things, but splitting it in
several chunks would be time consuming and painful to rebase. However it
adds many tests and isolate/refactor code to make it way more reusable.
This patchset will make the "batch item modification" and "batch item
deletion" features use the task queue (reminder: Since bug 28158, and so
21.05.00, we do no longer use the old "background job" functionality and
the user does not get any info about the progress of the job).
More than that, more of the code to build an item form and a list of
items is now isolated in module (.pm) and include files (.inc)
We are reusing the changes made by bug 27526 that simplifies the way we
edit/create items (no more unecessary serialization Koha > MARC > MARCXML
> XML > HTML)
New module:
* Koha::BackgroundJob::BatchDeleteItem
Subclass for process item deletion in batch
* Koha::BackgroundJob::BatchUpdateItem
Subclass for process item modification in batch
* Koha::Item::Attributes
We needed an object to represent item's attributes that are not
mapped with a koha field (aka "more subfields xml")
This module will help us to create the marcxml from a hashref and the
reverse.
* Koha::UI::Form::Builder::Item
The code that was used to build the add/edit item form is
centralised in this module. In conjunction with the
subfields_for_item BLOCK (from html_helpers.inc) it will be really
easy to reuse this code in other places where the item form is used
(acquisition and serials modules)
* Koha::UI::Table::Builder::Items
Same as previously for the table. We are now using this table from 3
different places (batch item mod, batch item del, backgroung job
detail view) and the code is only in one place.
To use with items_table_batchmod BLOCK (still from html_helpers.inc)
This patch is fixing some bugs about repeatable subfields and regex. A UI
change will reflect the limitation: if you want to apply a regex on a
subfield you cannot add several subfields for the same subfield code.
Test plan:
Prepare the ground:
- Make sure you are always using a bibliographic/item record using the framework
you are modifying!
- Add some subfields for items that are not mapped with a koha field
(note that you can use 'é' for more fun, don't try more funny
characters)
- Make some subfields (mapped and not mapped with a kohafield)
repeatable
- Add default values to some of your subfields
There are 4 main screens to test:
1. Add/edit item form
The behaviour should be the same before and after this patch.
See test plan from bug 27526.
Those 2 prefs must be tested:
* SubfieldsToAllowForRestrictedEditing
* SubfieldsToUseWhenPrefill
2. Batch modification
a. Fill some values, play with repeatable and regex.
Note that the behaviour in master was buggy, only the first value was modified by the regex:
* With subfield = "a | b"
1 value added with "new"
=> "new | b"
* With subfield = "a | b"
2 new fields "new1","new2"
=> "new2 | b"
Important note: For repeatable subfields, a regex will apply on the subfields in
the "concatenated form". To apply the regex on all the different subfields of a given
subfield code you must use the "g" modifier.
This could be improved later, but keep in mind that it's not a regression or behaviour
change.
b. Play with the "Populate fields with default values from default framework" checkbox
c. Use this tool to modify items and play with the different sysprefs that
interfer with it:
* NewItemsDefaultLocation
* SubfieldsToAllowForRestrictedBatchmod
* MaxItemsToDisplayForBatchMod
* MaxItemsToProcessForBatchMod
3. Batch deletion
a. Batch delete some items
b. Check items out and try to delete them
c. Use the "Delete records if no items remain" checkbox to delete
bibliographic records without remaining items.
d. Play with the following sysprefs and confirm that it works as
expected:
* MaxItemsToDisplayForBatchDel
e. Stress the tool: Go to the confirmation screen with items that can be
deleted, don't request the job to be processed right away, but check the
item out before.
4. Background job detail view
You must have seen it already if you are curious and tested the above.
When a new modification or deletion batch is requested, the confirmation
screen will tell you that the job has enqueued. A link to the progress
of the job can be followed.
On this screen you will be able to see the result of the job once it's
fully processed.
QA notes:
* There are some FIXME's that are not blocker in my opinion. Feel free to
discuss them if you have suggestions.
* Do we still need MaxItemsToProcessForBatchMod?
* Prior to this patchset we had a "Return to the cataloging module" link
if we went from the cataloguing module and that the biblio was deleted.
We cannot longer know if the biblio will be deleted but we could display
a "Go to the cataloging module" link on the "job has been enqueued"
screen regardless from where we were coming from.

On bug 17591 we discovered that there was something weird going on with
the way we export and use subroutines/modules.
This patch tries to standardize our EXPORT to use EXPORT_OK only.
That way we will need to explicitely define the subroutine we want to
use from a module.
This patch is a squashed version of:
Bug 17600: After export.pl
Bug 17600: After perlimport
Bug 17600: Manual changes
Bug 17600: Other manual changes after second perlimports run
Bug 17600: Fix tests
And a lot of other manual changes.
export.pl is a dirty script that can be found on bug 17600.
"perlimport" is:
git clone https://github.com/oalders/App-perlimports.git
cd App-perlimports/
cpanm --installdeps .
export PERL5LIB="$PERL5LIB:/kohadevbox/koha/App-perlimports/lib"
find . \( -name "*.pl" -o -name "*.pm" \) -exec perl App-perlimports/script/perlimports --inplace-edit --no-preserve-unused --filename {} \;
The ideas of this patch are to:
* use EXPORT_OK instead of EXPORT
* perltidy the EXPORT_OK list
* remove '&' before the subroutine names
* remove some uneeded use statements
* explicitely import the subroutines we need within the controllers or
modules
Note that the private subroutines (starting with _) should not be
exported (and not used from outside of the module except from tests).
EXPORT vs EXPORT_OK (from
https://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/06/perl-exporter-examples/)
"""
Export allows to export the functions and variables of modules to user’s namespace using the standard import method. This way, we don’t need to create the objects for the modules to access it’s members.
@EXPORT and @EXPORT_OK are the two main variables used during export operation.
@EXPORT contains list of symbols (subroutines and variables) of the module to be exported into the caller namespace.
@EXPORT_OK does export of symbols on demand basis.
"""
If this patch caused a conflict with a patch you wrote prior to its
push:
* Make sure you are not reintroducing a "use" statement that has been
removed
* "$subroutine" is not exported by the C4::$MODULE module
means that you need to add the subroutine to the @EXPORT_OK list
* Bareword "$subroutine" not allowed while "strict subs"
means that you didn't imported the subroutine from the module:
- use $MODULE qw( $subroutine list );
You can also use the fully qualified namespace: C4::$MODULE::$subroutine

This patch introduces two new methods for stacking filters on
Koha::Items:
- filter_out_lost
_ filter_out_opachiddenitems
This two filters are what actually happened inside the
filter_by_visible_in_opac. Everything is covered by tests.
In the process I added a Koha::Patron param to the method that is
internally used to decide if the OPACHiddenItems syspref needs to be
honoured or not. This *could* be better done with a fallback to
C4::Context->userenv if no param is passed.

After discussing the 'rules' parameter usefulness we decided it was not
the best idea, and the gains in terms of 'performance' would me
meaningless (in-memory caching of sysprefs). This patch makes a really
minor tweak to the tests so they mock the C4::Context->yaml_preference
method, but keeping the same original rules to highlight no behaviour
change takes place.
Then the rules parameter is removed from the calls, and the tests should
keep passing.

On C4::Search and C4::Circulation the uses of the items.itemlost field
highlight the fact that the comparisson itemlost <= 0 was wrong, as it

This patch adds a method based on the original idea from Nick, but on
Koha::Items.
The idea is to build a proper filter, based on the current rules for
hiding things, directly on the DBIC query. The caller takes care of
knowing if the filtering should apply (i.e. checking the patron category
exceptions) and then it would do something like:
my @items;
if ( <patron_category_does_not_have_exception> ) {
@items = $biblio->items->filter_by_visible_in_opac(
{
rules => $rules
}
);

There is a "norequest" boolean passed to the include cat-toolbar.inc, to
display or not the "Pace hold" button.
This flag was not calculated in some place (ISBDdetail and moredetail
for instance)
Here we centralize the code to make it more robust and less regression
prone.
Note that the same problem appears at the OPAC (opac-MARCdetail is
always display the button). That will have to be fixed separately
Test plan:
Create biblio A with 0 item, B and C with 1 item and D with 2 items
item for B is not for loan, C is for loan and D has 1 of each
Go to the bibliographic detail page of each record and confirm that the
"Place hold" button appears appropriately.
Test the different tabs of the catalogue module
QA note: This patch is only centralizing the existing code, but it is
still too naive. To manage the visibility of this button we certainly
want to copy what is done in C4::Search::searchResults:
# can place a hold on a item if
# not lost nor withdrawn
# not damaged unless AllowHoldsOnDamagedItems is true
# item is either for loan or on order (notforloan < 0)
$can_place_holds = 1
if (
!$item->{itemlost}
&& !$item->{withdrawn}
&& ( !$item->{damaged} || C4::Context->preference('AllowHoldsOnDamagedItems') )
&& ( !$item->{notforloan} || $item->{notforloan} < 0 )

In a few case (at least systempreferences and export_format (csv profiles),
the type method of Koha::Object and Koha::Objects can be in conflict with the
column names.
Indeed systempreferences.type exists and so the method will return
'Systempreference' (the name of the module) instead of the value of the row in
DB.
I have found at least 1 place where it can cause issue:
In C4::Context->set_preference:
601 my $syspref = Koha::Config::SysPrefs->find( $var );
602 my $type = $syspref ? $syspref->type() : undef;
603
604 $value = 0 if ( $type && $type eq 'YesNo' && $value eq '' );
type will always be 'Systempreference' and the YesNo pref will be set to an
empty string '' instead of 0.
I am not sure about the consequences of this, but it is preferable to
fix it ASAP.

This is the original patch for bug 12892 and replaces the older style of
fetching the holds data with Koha Objects. It will be used as a
foundation for future features.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Create a hold, set to waiting
3) Browse to circulation.pl for that patron
4) Note you see the list of waiting holds
5) Switch your logged in branch to a different branch
6) Note the "Waiting at" line is no longer emphasized.
