There is an inconsistency in the copy action:
Given the following control sample:
245 _aThe art of computer programming
_cDonald E. Knuth.
300 _aA_exists
_bB_exists
If we apply action (a) Copy the whole field 245 to 300, we get:
245 _aThe art of computer programming
_cDonald E. Knuth.
300 _aA_exists
_bB_exists
300 _aThe art of computer programming
_cDonald E. Knuth.
If we apply action (b) Copy the subfield 245$a to 300$a, we get:
245 _aThe art of computer programming
_cDonald E. Knuth.
300 _aThe art of computer programming
_bB_exists
In (a) the field is copied but in (b) the subfield is erased.
We should be consistent and don't erase the destination field.

In some situations (bad migrations, old bugs that introduced bad data,
people having bib-level itypes for ages and switching to item level...)
the user ends with undex itype values for items.
The current code, if the user has item_level-itype set, just returns
undef. It should fallback to bib-level. In order to avoid hiding the problem
a warning is raised.

The docs say that Koha::RecordProcessor accepts more than one filter
at a time. But as the regression tests show it doesn't.
This is really important to extend its usage in record processing
(either to enforce policy, transform, etc).

and builds an array with a single item if a scalar has been passed. The

If the system preference IncludeSeeFromInSearches is enabled, records
exported for zebra indexing are being additionally processed by
EmbedSeeFromHeadings record filter (right now used only in rebuild_zebra.pl
script). This filter embeds 'see from' fields (extracted from authority
records linked with the given biblio via $9 subfields) into target MARC
record, which is then subsequently indexed in zebra.
Currently all fields containing $9 are getting the same exact treatment
by this filter. But on the export stage when the filter is applied, MARC
record being processed already does have holdings data fields added in
the previous stage (usually 952 / 995, depending on the MARC format).
Problem is that holdings data fields use to have $9 subfields in them
as well (mapped to item.itemnumber by default). As a consequence, some
(great many in the typical setup) records exported for zebra indexing
may have surplus "see from" fields added erroneously in semi-random
fashion, so biblio searches would often return some completely
unexpected additional results.
EmbedSeeFromHeadings record filter should not process holdings fields
when dealing with MARC records intended for zebra indexing.
To reproduce:
1) database with as many sample or real-world biblio, item and authority
records as possible is recommended for testing purposes
2) enable IncludeSeeFromInSearches
3) export a bunch of biblio records for zebra (e.g.:
misc/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -I -b -x -k -length=1000),
inspect the result xml records in /tmp/<whatever> file; observe that at
the end of many records, here and there some extra "see from" (= 1st
indicator: 'z') fields tend to appear, which shouldn't be there ;)
To test:
4) apply patch
5) redo 3)
6) compare results from 3) and 5) with diff

This patch makes Koha::Logger use 'warn' instead of just printing
to STDERR. It introduces tests for this warnings too.
Signed-off-by: Tomas Cohen Arazi <tomascohen@unc.edu.ar>
Moving the BEGIN block to _init for the most part. We only need to
initialize when we actually start using the logger.
Removed the third init part. If we do not have a log4perl_conf in the
koha config, we are not using it yet.
Method get uses hash parameters now. It calls init. If we do not have a
config or the logfile is not writable, we will not use log4perl.
Using AUTOLOAD as a wrapper around Log4perl in order to add some checks
that log4perl does not have.
If a logrotate would change file permissions on a default logfile, we
should catch that now too (see recheck).
Test plan:
Run the previous tests again.
Will still add a unit test.

The first patch makes the category parameter mandatory.
This patch makes it optional, falling back to the current package. This is
the expected log4perl model. It would not be necessary to pass the class
name everywhere (check subclasses..)
It also adds a delimiter between the interface and the class name.
This allows you to add config lines like:
log4perl.logger.opac.C4.Auth = DEBUG, OPAC
log4perl.logger.intranet.C4.Circulation = TRACE, INTRANET
The first line would make the logger more sensitive to C4::Auth log
messages while staying at the WARN level for other messages, etc. The
second line makes the trace visible from the renewal example.

Koha needs a better logger, and it seems like the best solution would be
to take advantage of Log4perl which is already a fully featured logger.
We use Log4perl to selectively decide what statements should be logged,
and where they should go!
Test plan:
0) Install Log::Log4perl via packages or cpan
1) Apply this patch and the example renewal patch
2) Copy etc/log4perl.conf to your koha conf directory, edit the paths
to match your current error logs
3) Edit your koha-conf file and add the
<log4perl_conf>/path/to/log4perl.conf</log4perl_conf> line
4) Watch your intranet and opac error logs
5) Perform a renewal via the staff interface, note there is nothing new
in the log file
7) Update the log4perl.conf, change the log level from WARN to TRACE
for both the staff and opac sides
8) Perform a renewal via the staff interface, note the logged lines

It's time to remove it and replace existing calls.
I used the following commands to catch calls to C4::Context:
git grep 'C4::Context\->' | grep -v 'C4::Context->preference' | grep -v
'C4::Context->config' | grep -v 'C4::Context->userenv' | grep -v
'C4::Context->IsSuperLibrarian' | grep -v 'C4::Context->dbh' | grep -v
'C4::Context->set_preference' | grep -v '_syspref_cache' | grep -v
_userenv | grep -v 'C4::Context->interface' | grep -v
'C4::Context->Zconn' | grep -v 'C4::Context->queryparser' | grep -v
'C4::Context->tz' | grep -v 'C4::Context->boolean_preference' | grep -v
'C4::Context->memcached'

This patch introduces the Koha::FrameworkPlugin object to Koha.
This object supports the current "old-style" plugins while adding a new
style based on the concept of two anynomous subroutines for building and
launching.
I will summarize the advantages of this new approach, justifying the
additional lines of code in this patch:
[1] Centralizing the code for building and launching plugins.
[2] Extensive unit testing: this was not possible before.
[3] Simplicity: Only define what you need in the plugin.
A follow-up patch will delete 1500 lines with *empty* routines.
[4] Make it possible to restore the warnings pragma for all plugins.
New style plugins do no longer depend on redefinition.
[5] Event binding moved from HTML attributes moved to jQuery code.
This separates behavior and presentation.
[6] Much more documentation, including EXAMPLE plugin in follow-up.
[7] Improved error handling.
[8] Usability: property noclick tells you if plugin's buttonDot is active.
[9] More events supported: Change, keyboard/mouse events. See EXAMPLE.
NOTE ON EXAMPLE PLUGIN:
The example plugin is added in the third patch of this report. Since
it is new style, it can be used only after we start using this object. It
also contains an example for a keypress and mouseover event.
NOTE ON ITEM PLUGINS:
Old style plugins for items contain an additional parameter in the js
functions for Blur, Focus and Change. This distinction has no actual use
and is resolved for new plugins in the object code. When converting
item plugins, this minor correction will be addressed. In the meantime
old style item plugins behave as expected.
TEST PLAN:
Run the new test t/db_dependent/FrameworkPlugin.t
At this point in time, you do not need to do anything more. Follow-up
patches will incorporate the object in real-life Koha and provide
additional test plans.

For a couple of reasons, dt_from_string should not use
DateTime::Format::DateParse:
1/ It does not manage date < 1900, certainly caused by l.47 of this
module:
$p{ year } = $year ? $year + 1900 : DateTime->now->year;
2/ It considers 31/01/2015 as a valid us date, which is not.
Test plan:
1/ Verify that
prove t/DateUtils.t
returns green
2/ Play with dates in Koha (yes I know, it's vague...)
3/ Try to find a regression with dates
4/ Create a date with year <= 1900 and confirm it works
QA comment:
Why the sql format switch was:
- $date_string =~
-s/(\d{4})(\d{2})(\d{2})\s+(\d{2})(\d{2})(\d{2})/$1-$2-$3T$4:$5:$6/;
From where a date like "yyyymmdd hhmmss" can come?

This patch is the main patch.
The "common" template is improved to allow different type of picking:
"add" or "select".
The first one appends a patron to a list, the second one selects the
patron and close the result search window.
The members/guarantor_search.pl has completly changed but is quite the
same file as acqui/add_user_search.pl. Both should exist: they don't
belong to the same module (acqui vs members), the picking type is
different (add vs select) and the columns are not the same.
The changes in the common template are very powerful, it's now possible
to list the column we want! This will be very useful for further
reusability.
Before this patch, all patrons mathing the pattern were return. Now only
the first 20 are (depends on the DataTables selected value).
For QA: This patch introduces a new template plugin "To", for now it
permits to convert a perl structure to json. In the idea, it could
permit to convert foo to bar too.
Test plan:
1/ Verify there is no regression in the guarantor search. When the
selection has been done, all data from the guarantor should fill the
form in the "main address" section.
Note that the request is done when the search input in not empty and the
user stop to write for 1 sec.
2/ Verify there is no regression on the 2 other pages where this patron
search is used: link a patron to an order and to a basket (in the
acquisition module).

The idea behind this is to have a pair of base classes on which to build
our new generation of Koha objects. Koha::Object is a base class, which
in it's most basic form, is to represent a row in a table. For example,
Koha::Borrower inherits from Koha::Object. So too could Koha::Biblio
and Koha::Item for example.
Koha::Objects is to represent a way to fetch and manipulate sets of
objects. For example, Koha::Borrowers has a method to get a
Koha::Borrower object by id and a method to search for an get a list
of Koha::Borrower objects. Right now Koha::Objects has only the
essentials but can easily be extended and those enhancements will be
passed down to all the child classes based on it.
By using these classes as a base, we will add consistency to our
code, allow us to keep our code DRY, reduce bugs, and encapsulate our
database access among other benefits.

Koha::Cache package does not take into account that, when using
fastmmap caching variant, mmaped cache file created in /tmp
(typically: /tmp/sharefile-koha-koha), would only be further
accessible to the one given OS user - the one which created it.
In many Koha setups, in the circumstances when various system scripts
are executed by 2+ users with diffrent UIDs (like multi-tenant servers,
for example) this may cause many kinds of issues. Observable symptom
is usually the appearance of the below error when searching, or looking
at MARC Framework pages and a few other places:
Open of share file /tmp/sharefile-koha-koha failed: Permission denied
at /usr/lib/perl5/Cache/FastMmap.pm line 640.
This patch:
- disables initialisation of fastmmap caching subsystem unless it is
explicitly requested by the user (CACHING_SYSTEM=fastmmap)
- disables fastmmap cache usage for command line scripts
(i.e. when GATEWAY_INTERFACE environment variable is not defined)
- adds the database name, host name and an ID of the OS user to the
mmaped file name created in /tmp, to prevent various kinds of
unintentional conflicts and/or permission problems from happening
To test:
1) remove the /tmp/sharefile-koha-* file[s] (if any)
2) do something which would lead to its re-creation (e.g., performing
any search in OPAC should be sufficient to cause that)
3) observe that /tmp/sharefile-koha-koha got created
4) remove it
5) apply patch
6) redo step 2)
7) observe that aforementioned file is no longer created in /tmp
8) set CACHING_SYSTEM environment variable to 'fastmmap'
9) redo step 2), observe that /tmp/sharefile-koha-* file got created
and that it's name now contains hostname, database name and UID
10) ensure that everything still works like it should and that there
are no regressions of any kinds anywhere in the system ;)

Bug 12979 refactored the way to display prices.
The price format configuration was duplicated everywhere it was used.
All calls looks good except the one in admin/aqbudgetperiods.pl
In this one, the prices are formatted for an edition field (input).
This means the input is incorrectly filled even if the user does not
update the field.
At the end, maybe should we manage formatted prices everywhere, even in
inputs, but it's not in the scope of this bug.
Technically, a new subroutine format_for_editing is added to the
Koha::Number::Price module.
It should be called everywhere a price is displayed in an input field.
At the moment, it only does a sprintf("%.2f"), but it is a first step to
let the number of decimals to display configurable.
To test:
1/ Verify the issue described is fixed (editing a budget with a total
amount > 1000 (With CurrencyFormat is US or FR).
2/ Verify you can edit a fund with a total amount > 1000

This patch adds an optional hashref argument to the XSLT_Handler
transform() method. It allows you to send key => value pairs
parameters to the XML::LibXSLT object, which you can reference
in a XSLT via <xsl:param name="XXX" />.
The parameter value is evaluated as an XPath query, so you can only
pass quoted strings (i.e. "'test'") or numbers. Otherwise, the
XSLT engine will interpret it as a Xpath query and will run it
on the XML that you're transforming.
The most common use case is sending strings to a XSLT. In my case,
this is an OAI-PMH identifier that comes in a OAI response but not
the actual metadata. See the following link from the official POD:
http://search.cpan.org/~shlomif/XML-LibXSLT-1.92/LibXSLT.pm#Parameters
_TEST PLAN_
1) Run "perl t/db_dependent/XSLT_Handler.t". If all tests pass,
you should be free to sign off. Feel free to inspect the last
test in XSLT_Handler.t and the XSL in test04.xsl to see how it
works.
If you really want to be thorough, you could write your own test
cases using mine as an example.
Alternatively, you could go into C4::XSLT, and try to pass a
value to a parameter in the search results or the detail page,
but that might be a bit over the top.
It's a pretty simple patch.

This patch adds the option to pass a code string to the XSLT handler object

development: see bug 12758 or bug 12754.

This report is connected to bug 10480 which will change the general
mechanism of loading plugins, but can be tested independently and ahead
of that proposed change.
Several unimarc plugins use a wrapper sub. The code of this subroutine
is not exactly the same for all plugins: in some cases the routine is
extended for double character strings (dblspace and dblpipe). It would
not hurt to use the extended code for all plugins.
By moving the code to a module, we prevent redefinition
when two or more plugins are loading wrapper in a do-statement.
NOTE: You will not see wrapper redefine errors in your log, since the
plugins do not use the warnings pragma (yet). Since this patch touches
seventeen unimarc plugins, a unimarc signoff is preferred :)
Test plan:
Use some plugins changed in this patch (if not in use already).

- Method 1--with UT
- Use the UT associated to this bug, without applying this patch, and then
after applying this patch
- Method 2--using Koha
- Without this patch
- Find a borrower with several checkouts that are not overdue.
- Debarred the borrower
- Go on circ/circulation-home.pl page
- Select Check in tab, and do a check in
- It required more than 20s to display the return.pl page
- Apply the patch, and repeat previous steps
=> return.pl is immediately displayed.

This fix is a global fix for the MarcModificationTemplate feature.
Some unit tests were missing and some behaviors were wrong.
For instance, if you tried to update a non existent field, the script
crashed.
The following line was completely stupid:
if $from_field ne $to_subfield
The field_number equals 1 if the user wants to update the first field
and 0 for all fields.
The field_numbers (note the s) variable contains the field numbers to
update. This array is filled if a condition exists (field exists or
field equals).

This patch series is a bugfix for the Marc modification templates tool.
Bug description:
If you want to do an action (delete/update/move/...) on a multivalued
field and if a condition is defined on the same field, it is highly
probable the resulted record will not be what you expect.
For example:
Deleting All (or the first) fields 650 if 245$a="Bad title" works with
the current code.
BUT if you want to delete All (or the first) fields 650 with a condition
on 650$9=42, and if at least one field matches the condition :
- if you have selected all, all fields 650 will be deleted, even the
ones who do not match the condition.
- if you have selected first, the first 650 field will be deleted, even
if it does not match the condition.
The expected behavior is to delete the fields matching the
condition (and not all the 650 fields).
What this patch does:
This patch introduces 2 changes in the logic of Koha::SimpleMARC.
The first change is a change of the prototypes for the 2 routines
field_exists and field_equals. Now they return the "field number" of the
matching fields.
The second change is the type of the "n" parameter for all routines
using it in Koha::SimpleMARC. Before this patch, the "n" parameter was a
boolean in most cases. If 0, the action was done on all fields, if 1
on the first one only. Now it is possible to specify the "field numbers"
(so the array of field numbers which is returned by field_exists or
field_equals) for all routines which had the n parameter.
Test plan for the patch series:
Note: This test plan describes a specific example, feel free to create
your own one.
0/ Define a marc modification template with the following action:
Delete field 245 if 245$9 = 42
1/ choose and export a record with several 245 fields.
For ex:
245
$a The art of computer programming
$c Donald E. Knuth.
$9 41
245
$a Bad title
$c Bad author
$9 42
2/ import it using the Stage MARC for import tool.
3/ verify the imported record does not contain any 245 field.
4/ apply all the patches from this bug report
5/ do again steps 2 and 3
6/ verify the imported record contains only one 245 field, the one with
245$9=41
7/ verify the unit tests passed:

This patch makes it possible to sync patron data between Koha and the
Norwegian national patron database, in both directions.
In order to use this, the following information is necessary:
- a username/password from the Norwegian national database of libraries
("Base Bibliotek"), available to all Norwegian libraries
- a special key in order to decrypt and encrypt PIN-codes/passwords,
which is only available to Norwegian library system vendors
- a norwegian library vendor username/password
See http://www.lanekortet.no/ for more information (in Norwegian).
While this is of course an implementation of a specific synchronization scheme
for borrower data, attempts have been made to prepare the ground for other sync
schemes that might be implemented later. Especially the structure of the new
borrower_sync table might be reviewed with an eye to how it might fit other
schemes.
To test:
Since the password and cryptographic key needed to use this functionality
is only available to Norwegian library system vendors, only regression testing
can be done on the submitted code. Suggested things to check:
- Apply the patch and make sure the database update is done. This should add
the new "borrower_sync" table and five new systmpreferences under the
"Patrons" > "Norwegian patron database" category:
- NorwegianPatronDBEnable
- NorwegianPatronDBEndpoint
- NorwegianPatronDBUsername
- NorwegianPatronDBPassword
- NorwegianPatronDBSearchNLAfterLocalHit
- Check that patrons can be created, edited and deleted as usual, when
NorwegianPatronDBEnable is set to "Disable"
- Check that the new tests in t/NorwegianPatronDB.pm run ok, e.g. on a
gitified setup:
$ sudo koha-shell -c "PERL5LIB=/path/to/kohaclone prove -v t/NorwegianPatronDB.t" instancename
- Check that all the other tests still run ok
- Check that the POD in the new files itroduced by this patch looks ok:
- Koha/NorwegianPatronDB.pm
- members/nl-search.pl
- misc/cronjobs/nl-sync-from-koha.pl
- misc/cronjobs/nl-sync-to-koha.pl
- t/NorwegianPatronDB.t

Currently the Koha::SimpleMARC module call a "field" a "subfield".
And the way to manage field is not implemented for all routines.
This patch does not modify the API. The routine's names are kept. It
just creates 2 privates routines for each action (e.g. delete_field
will call _delete_field if the action affects field and _delete_subfield
if the action affects subfields).
Before this patch the move action was authorised by the interface but
caused an error if executed.
Note: I don't see the meaning for the add/update action if no subfield
is given. So the call without subfield raises an error.
Test plan:
- apply all patches
- create or modify an existent template
- try at least the correct behavior for the following actions:
* delete subfield and field
* add new subfield to an existing field
* add new subfield to an nonexisting field
* move a subfield
* move an entire field
* copy a subfield
* copy an entire field
- import a biblio and use this template
- verify the imported biblio matches actions defined.

Item search is available at catalogue/itemsearch.pl (link is in
catalogue/search.pl)
It only uses SQL (not Zebra)
* Use DataTables and server-side processing to be able to filter on
individual columns after the first search is done.
* Allow to export results in CSV
* With Javascript disabled, search form still works (and CSV export too)
There is the possibility to define "Custom search fields" in a new admin
page admin/items_search_fields.pl (link is in admin/admin-home.pl)
A custom item search field is defined by:
* a name: its unique identifier
* a label: the text displayed to the user
* a MARC field/subfield: the field/subfield to query (it uses
ExtractValue)
* an authorised values list (optional): if defined the list is displayed
in the search form
New Perl dependency: Template::Plugin::JSON::Escape
Test plan:
1/ Apply the patch and run updatedatabase.pl
2/ Go to advanced search (staff interface), then click on "Go to item
search"
3/ Play with the search form! :)
In the 3rd fieldset you can add as many fields as you want and combine them with
boolean operators (AND, OR). You can use SQL jokers characters (%, _)
You can output to screen (in a DataTables table) or to a CSV file.
4/ In the DataTables table, play with filters and try sorting columns.
5/ Disable Javascript (with Firefox: extensions NoScript or YesScript,
or in about:config 'javascript.enabled' = false
6/ Reload the search page and do some searches on screen output. (there
is no sorting or filtering features, but there is still pagination)
7/ Try again CSV output.
8/ You can re-enable Javascript.
9/ Go to Administration > Items search fields
10/ Add a new field. Example for title (in UNIMARC):
Name: title
Label: Title
MARC field: 200
MARC subfield: a
Authorised values category: None
(add another field with an authorised values category to see the
difference).
11/ As you are there try to update and delete some fields.
12/ Go back to items search form. You can see in the 3rd fieldset that
your fields have appeared in the selects.
13/ Try searching on them.
14/ I think you're done :)

This development introduces ColVis into Koha and provides a configuration
page for columns visibility.
ColVis is a plugin for DataTables. It allows to change the visibility of
the columns in the table.
* This development adds:
- the js and css file for ColVis
- a new DB table 'columns_settings'
- a new template plugin 'ColumnsSettings'
- a new package C4::Utils::DataTables::ColumnsSettings
- a new admin page admin/columns_settings.pl
* How it works:
A yaml file is created (admin/columns_settings.yml) in order to take an
inventory of all tables where ColVis is implemented. This file is read
to create the list of modules, pages and tables in the configuration
page.
There are 3 possible keys in the yml:
- is_hidden: default is 0
The column will be hidden.
- cannot_be_toggled: default is 0.
ColVis will allow to hide/show the column.
- cannot_be_modified: default is 0
Default values (in the yml) won't be modifiable.
When a user changes (or saves) the configuration for one module, all
columns are added to the DB table. The values in the DB get the upper hand
on the yaml values.
* Humm, strange?
It seems weird to have 2 storages for the same values. But I
think it will be easy to add an entry and maintain the yaml rather than
adding a new row (and new entry in updatedatabase script) in the DB.
* To go further: We can imagine that the configuration is saved for each
user (and not globally like it is made with this patch).

Due to Perl 5.18, QueryParser the default search class is no longer
'keyword' (see bug 12738), and needs to be set manually. This patch
adds a line that does that. The problem that gets fixed is with test
'super simple keyword query'.
The rest of the non-deterministically failing tests are due to the same
problem, keys returning differently sorted keys from hashes.
So this patch sorts keys in the step that concatenates attributes when building
the PQF queries (and tests get adjusted to match the now deterministic result).
I did that (sorting there) under Jared's recommendation. Hopefuly he will step
in and comment/fix any mistake I made. My main concern was a possible loss
in performance. That we agreed it is almost void, because of the tiny size
of the hash.

When a patron has many checked out items, circulation.pl can take a very
long time to load ( on the order of minutes in some cases ). This is
primarily due to the processing of the previous checkouts list. If we
convert to this table to a datatable that fetches its data via ajax, we
can make circulation.pl far more responsive. The same should be done
with relative's checkouts as well.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Observe that the checkouts and relatives' checkouts tables
are now loaded asynchronously
3) Observe and verify the renew and return actions are now
ajax based and function in a manner equivilent to how they
used to.

Conform former (implicit) behavior the handler now prints warnings by
default (via STDERR to logfile).
This can be adjusted by: $engine->print_warns(0);
Test plan:
Generate some error on a XSLT file (e.g. wrong path).
Check if your log contains the associated error(s)/warning(s).

Incorporate the new object into C4/XSLT module.
The handler object needed one adjustment to allow for passing URLs.
Removed the GetURI function; it is no longer needed.
Added some documentation lines.
Moved a file-level lexical upwards in the code for visibility.
Removed some tabs (on two lines).
Note: The handler could perhaps be moved up to the Context module, or
be saved in a global ('our') variable. But I would rather not do that
now, making testing not too complex at this moment.
Test plan:
Enable XSLT preferences for opac and intranet.
Check result and detail pages.
Check individual list display (virtual shelves).
Force an XSLT error by editing one of your xsl files. Check the
corresponding display.
Put an URL in one the XSLT prefs (could just be to your own server).
Check the display.

In achieving the goals of umbrella report 6536 (Z3950 improvements), this
report adds a XSLT handler object to the Koha namespace.
A follow-up adds unit tests for this module.
This patch does not yet incorporate the new object into Z3950 search. So
it does not change any behavior and is therefore harder to test.
Test plan:
Run the unit tests of the follow-up patch on report 11826.

I tested the new module in two additional ways:
[1] Made a simple script (four lines as below) that ran a larger xml file
with 1500 records through a test XSLT file modifying the title.
my $eng= Koha::XSLT_Handler->new;
open my $fh1, '<', '_example_file';
my @xml= <$fh1>;
print $eng->transform( join('', @xml), '_example_xsl_file');
[2] Incorporated the object into my local changes of Breeding.pm (based on
older work, not ready for submittal now).
Ran transformation on Z3950 search results. Worked well :)

(part #1: new module w/ UT + script + template)
New feature, adds an ability to attach arbitrary files to
acquisition records (currently: to the invoices - but it can
be extended to baskets, basketgroups, budgets etc.).
Note: this code is (heavily) based on "Bug 8130 - attach PDF
files to a patron record" by Kale M Hall, main difference being
that new table (misc_files) and new module (Koha/Misc/Files.pm)
are intended to be a little more generic solution - they allow to
store and manage files associated with great many kinds of records,
from arbitrary tables.
Test plan:
1) Apply patch[es]
2) Run installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl
3) Enable system preference 'AcqEnableFiles' in acquisition
4) New option 'Manage invoice files' appears in the invoice
detail page
5) Upload/view/download/delete some files for some invoices
6) Try to delete invoice with files attached (files should
get deleted as well)
7) Try to merge 2+ invoices with files attached; after merge,
all files previously attached to individual invoices being
merged should be attached to resulting invoice (merge destination)
8) prove t/db_dependent/Koha_Misc_Files.t
9) Ensure there are no regressions of any kind in invoice detail
page (acqui/invoice.pl).

Due dates in the OPAC don't display the time items are due, and thus
items which are on hourly loans don't display an accurate due date and
time. This patch corrects this by adding (and using) a new "as_due_date"
option to the KohaDates plugin made possible by Bug 11148.
Thanks to Galen for providing the changes to KohaDates.pm.
To test, enable an hourly loan period for an itemtype in your
collection. View the display of date due on the following pages:
- Patron details (opac-user.pl) - Log into the OPAC as a user who has
something checked out which circulates by the hour.
- Bibliographic details (opac-detail.pl) - View the details for an item
which is circulates by the hour and is checked out.
- Course reserves details (opac-course-details.pl) - View the contents
of a course reserve, one of which should be an item which circulates
by the hour and is checked out.
Due dates for hourly items should show both date and time and be
formatted correctly. Due dates for non-hourly loans should show only the
date. Test in both prog and Bootstrap themes.

most visibility manifested as patron list pages not displaying

6) Once you have landed here, click the "check out" tab link again, or
the Edit button ( any action really )
7) Note your logged in branch has now changed to the once selected

This patch restores the ability to request a DBI database handle
or a DBIx::Class schema object connected to a PostgreSQL database.
To address the concerns raised in bug 7188, only "mysql" and "Pg"
are recognized as valid DB schemes. If anything else is passed
to C4::Context::db_scheme2dbi or set as the db_scheme in the Koha
configuration file, the DBD driver to load is assumed to be "mysql".
Note that this patch drops any pretense of Oracle support.
To test:

pass when run against a MySQL Koha database.
[2] To test against PostgreSQL, create a Pg database and
edit koha-conf.xml to set db_scheme to Pg (and adjust
the other DB connection parameters appropriately). The

The caching introduced by the main patch is not ideal
as it won't work correctly if a persistance engine is used.
However, I have good reason to expect that bug 8089 will

can be used for this prior to the release of 3.16.

This patch ensures that the package-level cache is updated
when add_holiday() is used. Note that except for the test
case added by this patch, there doesn't seem to be anything
that actually calls ->add_holiday(); it may be better to remove it.
Signed-off-by: Galen Charlton <gmc@esilibrary.com>
Each time a Koha::Calendar object is created, its constructor retrieves
all holidays from the database and create a DateTime::Set object with
all holidays.
[RM note: I've observed that the time it takes DateTime::Set to be
initialized with a set of dates increases faster than linearly with
the number of dates. I think this, more than just retrieving a bunch
of holidays from the database, is what is most expensive.]
In one of our customer's DB, there are 11085 special_holidays and 598
repeatable_holidays. When a loan is returned, there are 3 calls to
Koha::Calendar->new.
This patch adds caching of the holiday list via package-level variables
as well as lazy fetching of the holidays. (RM note: this means that if
a persistance engine is in use, updates to the holiday list will not
be reflected during checkout. I'm allowing this breakage for now on
the plan that bug 8089 will be fixed soon and we can switch to using
Koha::Cache).
Nytprof benchmarks (on a 3.8.x branch):
In DateTime::Set->from_datetimes:
3 times (5.49ms+4.90s) by Koha::Calendar::_init at line 80 of Koha/Calendar.pm, avg 1.63s/call
on a total of 7.67s (of 10.2s), executing 6353333 statements and 3031273 subroutine calls in 147 source files and 36 string evals.

The MARC Modification Templates system gives Koha users
the power to make alterations to MARC records automatically
while staging MARC records for import.
This tool is useful for altering MARC records from
various venders work with your MARC framework.
The system essentially allows one to create a basic script
using actions to Copy, Move, Add, Update and Delete fields.
Each action can also have an optional condition to check
the value or existance of another field.
The Copy & Move actions also support Regular Expressions,
which can be used to automatically modify field values during the
copy/move. An example would be to strip out the '$' character
in field 020$c.
Furthermore, the value for an update can include variables
that change each time the template is used. Currently,
the system supports two variables, __BRANCHCODE__ which
is replaced with the branchcode of the library currently
using the template, and __CURRENTDATE__ which is replaced
with the current date in ISO format ( YYYY-MM-DD ).
At its simplist, it can perform functions such as:
Copy field 092$a to 952$c
At its most complex it can run actions like:
Copy field 020$c to 020$c using RegEx s/\$// if 020$c equals RegEx m/^\$/

This patch adds a more extensible and flexible debarments system to Koha. The fields
borrowers.debarred and borrowers.debarredcomment are retained for compatibility and
speed.
This system supports having debarments for multiple reasons. There are currently
three types of debarments:
OVERDUES - Generated by overdue_notices.pl if the notice should debar a patron
SUSPENSION - A punative debarment generated on checkin via an issuing rule
MANUAL - A debarment created manually by a librarian
OVERDUE debarments are cleared automatically when all overdue items have been returned,
if the new system preference AutoRemoveOverduesRestrictions is enabled. It is disabled
by default to retain current default functionality.
Whenever a borrowers debarments are modified, the system updates the borrowers debarment
fields with the highest expiration from all the borrowers debarments, and concatenates
the comments from the debarments together.
Test plan:
1) Apply patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Verify the borrower_debarments table has been created and
populated with the pre-existing debarments
4) Run t/db_dependent/Borrower_Debarments.t
5) Manually debar a patron, with an expiration date
6) Verify the patron cannot be issued to
7) Add another manual debarment with a different expiration date
8) Verify the 'restricted' message lists the date farthest into the future
9) Add another manual debarment with no expiration date
10) Verify the borrower is now debarred indefinitely
11) Delete the indefinite debarment
12) Verify the debarment message lists an expiration date dagain
13) Enable the new system preference AutoRemoveOverduesRestrictions
14) Set an overdue notice to debar after 1 day of being overdue
15) Check out an item to a patron and backdate the due date to yesterday
16) Run overdue_notices.pl
17) Verify the OVERDUES debarment was created
18) Return the item
19) Verify the OVERDUES debarment was removed
20) Disable AutoRemoveOverduesRestrictions
21) Repeat steps 15 though 18, verify the OVERDUES debarment was *not* removed
22) Add issuing rules so that an overdue item causes a temporary debarment
23) Check out an item to a patron and backdate the due date by a year

This patch gives Koha the ability to merge authority records using the
same interface used by bibliographic records, though slightly different
methods for selecting which records to merge. The two ways to select
records are as follows:
1) Records can be selected from authority search results by clicking
the "Merge" link for two records.
2) Authority records can be merged from the reservoir by clicking the
merge-related links in the Manage staged MARC batch screen.
To test:
1) Apply patch.
2) Do a search for an authority record that will turn up multiple
identical records (or at least two records that you don't mind
merging).
3) Click the "Merge" link for the first record.
4) Click the "Merge" link for the second record.
5) Choose which fields from which record you want to appear in the
resulting record.
6) Confirm that those are the fields that exist in the resulting record.
7) Stage an authority record (for example, an authority record you
saved from your catalog.
8) Search for a record to merge with it using the "Search for a record
to merge in a new window" link.
9) Merge these records, confirming that the resulting record (after
going through the entire merging process) matches your expectations.
10) Set up a matching rule for authorities, and export an authority from
your catalog that will match based on that rule. For MARC21, the
following is a good choice for a rule:
Matching rule code: AUTHPER
Description: Personal name main entry
Match threshold: 999
Record type: Authority record
[Match point 1:]
Search index: mainmainentry
Score: 1000
Tag: 100
Subfields: a
11) Stage the record you just exported, choosing the matching rule you
just created.

resulting record (after going through the entire merging process)
matches your expectations.

Koha's MARC framework structure doesn't assign tags to tabs in
the cataloging editor; only subfields are assigned to tabs, and
the field as a whole follows the subfields.
Consequently, for the purpoase of calculating a merge hash, a field
should be added either if no MARC framework information is passed
(which signals that the caller wants to deal with the entire MARC
record) or if any of its subfields are assigned to visible tabs.
This patch has the effect of getting rid of the following spurious
warnings from the Apache log:

This plugin is meant to be a place to put general purpose TT functions
directly related to Koha. If a plugin is not a filter, and does not
have more than one subroutine, that subroutine most likely belongs
in this TT plugin.
This first and only function the plugin currently has is Preference,
which allows a template to get the value of a system preference without,
it needing to be passed in from a perl script.
For example, to use, first include the line '[% USE Koha %]' at the top
of the template to enable the plugin, then do something like this
to check the value of a system prefence in the template:
[% IF Koha.Preference( 'MyPreference ) == 'SettingA' %] ...

Adds a course reserves system for academic libraries.
The course reserves system allows libraries to create courses
and put items on reserves for those courses.
Each item with at least one reserve can have some of its attributes
modified while it is on reserve for at least one active course.
These attributes include item type, collection code, shelving location,
and holding library. If there are no active courses with this item
on reserve, it's attributes will revert to the original attributes
it had before going on reserve.
Test Plan:
1) Create new authorised value categories DEPARTMENT and TERM
2) Create a new course, add instructors to that course.
3) Reserve items for that course, verify item attributes have changed.
4) Disable course, verify item attributes have reverted.

The original implementation of QueryParser did not handle truncation
based on the QueryAutoTruncate system preference. This patch adds support.

5) Search for "har*". Note that it still returns results with right
truncation.
6) Set QueryAutoTruncate to "only when * is added."

exact word "har" in them (most likely there will be none unless you
have Hebrew items).

At the moment we cache numerous pieces of information in module-level
variables which then do not get updated in other threads/processes when
they are changed by the user. This is a serious usability issue.
Examples of this include the way we treat sysprefs (there is now a
method to disable the syspref cache, but by default it is enabled),
notices, frameworks, field mappings, and koha-conf.xml, at least.
This patch sets the stage for eliminating this problem by making it
possible to convert module-level cache variables into variables that
are actually backed by whatever caching system may be configured. This
is done through a special Koha::Cache::Object class which can be tied
to the variables that are being used for caching and provided with a
constructor method/closure to allow the cache to be reloaded when it
expires. For example:
my $cache = Koha::Cache->new();
my $data = 'whatever';
my $variable = Koha::Cache->create_scalar(
{
'key' => 'whatever',
'timeout' => 2,
'constructor' => sub { return $data; },
}
);
print "$$variable\n"; # Prints "whatever"
The one change this necessitates for accessing the data is that the
variable must be dereferenced an additional time before use (i.e.
$$variable instead of $variable). There is no difference when the
variable tied is a hash (created with Koha::Cache->create_hash). This
is a small price to pay for Koha working in a multi-threaded, persistent
environment. This change will also make caching easier in general.
CHI was incompatible with the variable tying, so this patch also removes
the dependency on CHI, using instead Cache::Memcached::Fast,
Cache::FastMmap, and Cache::Memory, when they are available.
To test:
1) Apply patch.
2) Run unit test t/Cache.t (after setting the MEMCACHED_SERVERS and
CACHING_SYSTEM environment variables). As no changes were made to
the tests already in that file, this passing demonstrates there
are no regressions.
3) With memcached caching enabled (you must set the MEMCACHED_SERVERS
and CACHING_SYSTEM environment variables) and DEBUG turned on (i.e.
the DEBUG environment variable set to 1), try running a report via
the web service ([intranet]/cgi-bin/koha/svc/report?id=1 and check
your web server logs to confirm that there are messages like
"get_from_cache for intranet:report:id:1" in them.
4) If the reports worked, sign off.
NOTE: Technically you could test this without needing memcached by
installing libcache-fastmmap-perl and setting CACHING_SYSTEM to
'fastmmap' instead of 'memcached'. You could also install libcache-perl
and set CACHING_SYSTEM to 'memory' but there would be little point as
the cached variables would go out of scope in between runs.

feature supports two types of plugins, reports and tools.
Plugins are installed by uploading KPZ ( Koha Plugin Zip )

Since the most expressive query language supported by Zebra is PQF, this
patch adds a PQF driver for QueryParser which will translate QueryParser
queries into standard PQF (guided by mappings which have been written to
match Koha's existing Zebra configuration) which can then be sent to
Zebra. This driver, Koha::QueryParser::Driver::PQF(::*) extends the
OpenILS::QueryParser(::*) class(es), so as to preserve maximum
interoperability between the various users of the QueryParser driver.
Initially, search syntax is as follows:
* AND operator: &&
* OR operator: ||
* GROUPING operators: ( )
Fields can mostly be searched using the ccl prefixes they have now. The
exception is the various date limits which are searched with a syntax
like this: pubdate(2008)
For sorting, you can simply add #title-sort-az (etc.) to your query.

In Germany 020$9 is used to store the ISBN with hyphens. In rare cases this
can break indexing in combination with IncludeSeeFromInSearches.
To reproduce:
1) Change your frameworks:
* Make sure 084 $a is visible
* Create a 084 $9 that you link to PERSO_NAME authorities.
2) Create a record or edit an existing one:
* Use the plugin on 084 to link the record to an authority.
* Make sure 400 is filled in your authority record.
Preparations all done, now test indexing:
3) Make sure IncludeSeeFromInSearches is OFF
* Reindexing should work without any problems.
4) Activate IncludeSeeFromInSearches
* Reindexing should throw an error and stop:
201.Subfields are only for data fields (generally,
just tags >= 010 at /home/koha/Koha/Filter/MARC/EmbedSee
FromHeadings.pm line 94
5) Apply patch and reindex.
* No error should occur.
* Test 4xx fields from other tags were properly indexed.
What causes the problem is the fact, that Koha tries to store
the date from the 400 in the bibliographic record for indexing.
For this it calculates a tag in the bibliographic record from the
tag it found the authority link in and the 4xx tags used in the
authority record. If you have an authority linked to a 0xx field
and the matching authority has a 4xx where xx < 10, the calculated
tag will be a control field. The attempt to add subfields to this
control field, is causing the error and breaks the indexing process.

Added Paul's sign-off line, as despite it showing up in Bugzilla, it
wasn't on the patch.
Using specific method for populating the internal data structures from Koha::Calendar
has yielded to the non-detection of several bugs. There are also several tests that where
db_dependent which is not always desirable.
I propose the use of DBD::Mock (::Session) for using the actual code used by Koha in production
for testing, mocking the DB queries itselves.
I also took the time to repeat several tests in different syspref configurations (they applied
only to daysMode=Calendar, and now cover all confs).
Notes:
- I used DBD:Mock 1.45 as previous version (1.43, from 12.04) was broken
- Some tests revealed a bug on days_between as I see it... reporting as Bug #9211

This development will add the ability for a new patron to register
himself or herself. The self-registration will attempt to match this
newly inputted data to any existing patrons and if any possible matches
are found, ask if the patron is sure he or she doesn't already have an
account at the library. A system preference may be set to prevent patron
self-registration if the system detects the possibility that the person
may already have an account.
Once the patron has registered, passing a captcha (or similar
bot-stopper), the patron will then be optionally verified a second time
via email. At this point, the patron will be able to print a temporary
library card (optional by system preference), and will be provided any
details necessary to access electronic resources (this body of text
would be a template in the slips and notices system). At the library's
choice, this new patron would either be set to a temporary patron status
(patron type set via system preference), or a fully-fledged patron
(allow patron type to be determined by age and/or other attributes).
Assuming the library uses temporary patron types for OPAC registrations,
this patron will next enter a queue and would need to physically enter
the library to verify himself and become a fully-fledged patron (most
likely by bringing in physical proof of address, etc.). The librarian
would look up the patron record and modify the patron type. If a
temporary patron has not been verified within a certain time frame
(defined by a system preference), the patron record will be deleted
from the system via a cron job.
For registered patrons, the system will allow each person to also
update his or her personal data via the OPAC. When a patron updates his
or her information, the changes will be entered into a queue to be
verified by a librarian (preventing a patron from inputting obviously
bogus data). The staff client home page will display the number of
patron records with changes awaiting approval. A librarian would then be
able to click through a list of modification requests, and approve or
deny each (with approval and denial alerts being sent to the patron via
the standard messaging system).

Sorry about the problematic last attempt at uploading. I missed a
patch when squashing. It is now included.
When working with hierarchical subject headings, it is sometimes helpful
to do a search for all records with a specific subject, plus
broader/narrower/related subjects. This patch adds a suggestion plugin for
these "exploded" subject searches to Koha. Note that this patch depends on
both bug 8211 AND bug 8209.
To test (NOTE: this test plan covers both 8211 and 8726):
1) Make sure you have a bunch of hierarchical subjects. I created
geographical subjects for "Arizona," "United States," and "Phoenix,"
and linked them together using 551s, and made sure I had a half
dozen records linking to each (but not all to all three).
2) Do a search for su-br:Arizona (or choose "Subject and broader terms"
on the advanced search screen with "more options" displayed), and
check that you get the records with the subject "Arizona" and the
records with the subject "United States"
3) Do a search for su-na:Arizona (or choose "Subject and narrower terms"
on the advanced search screen with "more options" displayed), and
check that you get the records with the subject "Arizona" and the
records with the subject "Phoenix"
4) Do a search for su-rl:Arizona (or choose "Subject and related terms"
on the advanced search screen with "more options" displayed), and
check that you get the records with the subject "Arizona," the
records with the subject "United States," and the records with the
subject "Phoenix"
5) Ensure that other searches still work (keyword, subject, ccl,
whatever)
6) Use "Did you mean?" page in admin section to enable ExplodedTerms
plugin
7) Do a keyword search on the OPAC, confirm that searching for exploded
terms is suggested.
8) Do a subject search on the OPAC, confirm that searching for exploded
terms is suggested.
9) Do a non-keyword, non-subject search on the OPAC, confirm that
searching for exploded terms is NOT suggested.
10) Disable ExplodedTerms plugin and enable AuthorityFile plugin.
11) Do search on OPAC, confirm suggestions are made from authority file.

This patch adds the Koha::Indexer::RecordNormalizer and
Koha::Indexer::MARC::RecordNormalizer::EmbedSeeFromHeadings packages
to enable the inclusion of alternate forms of headings in bibliographic
searches. When the new syspref IncludeSeeFromInSearches is turned on
(default is off) rebuild_zebra.pl will insert see from headings from
authority records into bibliographic records when indexing, so that a
search on an obsolete term will turn up relevant records.
To test:
1) Enable IncludeSeeFromInSearches
2) Add a heading that has an alternate form to a record (for example,
"Cooking" has the alternate form "Cookery," if you have authority
records from LC)
3) Index the zebraqueue (or reindex if you haven't indexed your system
yet)
4) Confirm that if you search for "Cookery" you get the record you
just modified

Also checked:
- Verified database update works correctly
- Checked system preference and its description
- Checked staff/opac detail pages with feature on/off
- Checked staff/opac search facets
- Downloaded and tested records in various formats
- Tried different searches for 'see from' entries of authorities
- Ran all unit tests
No problems found.
The BuildSummary output changed slightly, resulting in labels not
showing up and a test failing.

One of the ideas behind authority records is that users who search for
one term should have related terms (according to the authority file)
suggested to them. At the moment, Koha doesn't do that. Adding an
authority searching step to regular searches and displaying any
suggestions in a "Did you mean" bar at the top of the results would be
very useful.
This commit adds a Koha::SuggestionEngine class which is in charge of
getting suggestions from individual suggestion engine plugins, which
much be in the Koha::SuggestionEngine::Plugin::* namespace, and extend
Koha::SuggestionEngine::Base. Suggestions are loaded asynchronously
using AJAX, and a link to a page with suggestions is provided for users
with Javascript turned off.
The AuthorityFile suggestion engine plugin looks up the specified search
terms in the authority file and then suggests searches for records using
matching authorities.

Test plan:
- Verified database update added system preference correctly,
pref defaults to OFF
- Verified search results and detail pages in OPAC and staff
still worked the same as before
* for no results
* with results
- Activated system preference and tested various searches
* Searches from simple search
* Searches from advanced search
* Search links in records
- Deactivated Javascript - verified fallback works correctly
Notes:
- Suggested terms can include autorities with no linked records.
- When combining more than one search option using advanced search
this results in "no suggestions" more often. Feature works best
from simple search.
Overall great feature making use of authorities in a user friendly way!

This reverts commit 215abc8024.
The 3 patches for bug 8089 have been reverted, because they break
jenkins & Koha.
A follow-up has been provided, but it does not solve the problem on my
test server, it just changes the error message.
After a discussion with jared, Dobrica should work on another patch, so
the best option is to revert.
1. Replace all instances of memoize_memcached with appropriate calls
into Koha::Cache:
* reports/guided_reports.pl
* C4::Biblio::GetMarcStructure
* C4::Languages::getFrameworkLanguages
* C4::Languages::getAllLanguages
* C4::SQLHelper::GetPrimaryKeys
* C4::SQLHelper::_get_columns
2. Replace all references to memcached with the appropriate calls into
Koha::Cache in C4::Context.
Test plan :
* have DEBUG env set to 1
* reach addbiblio page to test the patch in Biblio.pm, or setup more than 1
language
* you should see in the logs that you're reading and writing from cache
* run the test suite twice both with and without the following environment
variables set:
export MEMCACHED_SERVERS=127.0.0.1:11211
export MEMCACHED_NAMESPACE=KOHA
export CACHING_SYSTEM=memcached

I'm unsure about some of the caching times 10000 is a long long time,
but other than that, works fine.
Sometime the circ history will contain "0000-00-00" as a returndate when
an item was lost rather than returned. This currently causes an error
when attempting to parse the dates, this patch causes an empty string to
be returned instead.
Note: a future enhancement should distinguish between "no date provided"
and "invalid date provided" to allow distinctions to be made.

If undef is passed to the date format conversion function, it dies. This
can happen when you have old data in the database. Better to handle it
in some fashion rather than die, so now it just returns undef too.

Thee were errors in the calculation used for days_between
which caused incorrect values to be returned
Added tests to validate calculation
NB Tests still need to be provided for the hourly
calculations
As noted in comment #4 by Jonathan Druart, this should be fixed in every call
to DateTie::truncate function. This patch does exactly that.
julian_m tested that truncate( to => 'days' ) didn't actually do anything, so
it is understandable that this 'fix' might introduce new bugs as we might have
'fixed' at a higher libs level this issue.
'minutes' is used in truncate function too, so fixing.

rebased again; some indentation issues in include menus.
Patrons get incorrectly debarred because of the use of Datetime->delta_days
wich happens to always return a positive number.
Also changed the use of Datetime->truncate function so it follows the docs,
using 'day' instead of 'days' (which is used in DateTime::Duration).
This patch has been tested against master.

When a hold is placed on an item where the pickup location is
different than the holding library, Koha initiates a branch
transfer for that item to fill that hold when items is run through
the returns system.
If the item is then run through returns a second time, the system is
supposed to close that transfer as a 'wrongtransfer', and open a new
transfer with the same from and to branches as the original.
The problem is that the original transfer is closed, but the new
transfer is not created. This is because at some point, someone
replaced the template variable WrongTransfer, which had previously
contained the branchcode for the library to transfer to, with the
full name of the library instead ( I assume to make a look nicer ).
Solved by removing the line that was changing the variable contents
from the branchcode to the branch name, and adding a new TT filter,
KohaBranchName that functions in the same way as KohaDates, except
it takes a branchcode and returns the branch name for the given
branchcode.
The consequence of this, is the the name of the library is passed to updateWrongTransfer instead of the branchcode, causing the failure.

Implements cache handlers for Memcached, mmap shared-file persistent,
and in-process memory caches. If CHI is unavailable, Koha::Cache::Memcached
will fall back to using Cache::Memcached::Fast, or caching will be skipped
without croaking.
To test: run t/Cache.t with the following options, before and after
installing CHI:
2. Tests 3-9 should be skipped with the following:
export CACHING_SYSTEM=
2. You should receive two failures with the following if CHI is not installed:
export CACHING_SYSTEM=memory
3. You should receive two failures with the following if CHI is not installed:
export CACHING_SYSTEM=fastmmap
4. You will need memcached activated for the following to work (but it
will work both with and without CHI):
export CACHING_SYSTEM=memcached
export MEMCACHED_SERVERS=127.0.0.1:11211
export MEMCACHED_NAMESPACE=KOHA
5. You should receive two failures with the following:
export CACHING_SYSTEM=thisdoesntexist

misc/maintenance/make_zebra_dom_cfg_from_record_abs:
generate a DOM filter Zebra index config from a GRS-1 config
Given a Zebra record.abs file containing a set of index definitions for
Zebra's GRS-1 filter, write an equivalent DOM filter configuration.
To generate the XSLT that is to be used by Zebra, run something like
the following on the output of this utility:
xsltproc ZEBRA_CFG_DIR/xsl/koha-indexdefs-to-zebra.xsl \
biblio-koha-indexdefs.xml \
> ZEBRA_CFG_DIR/marc_defs/marc21/biblios/biblio-zebra-indexdefs.xsl
The above example assumes that the output of the program was named
biblio-koha-indexdefs.xsl.
This commit also introduces Koha::Indexer::Utils, a new package for
misceallenous routines that support Koha's indexing definitions.

This patch introduces some new features for caching system:
* the type of caching is retrieved from ENV variable in httpd configuration if not forced when the ->new() is called.
* if $ENV{DEBUG} is ON, you'll have feedback when something is set or read from cache
* the Koha::Cache->is_cache_active is now available and will return 1 if there is a caching system available. It's a replacement for C4::Context->ismemcached
* fixes the mistake for debug/compress_threshold and expire_time parameters

Plan test:
- Go on the page: tools > Patrons modification (modborrowers.pl)
- Enter a list of cardnumbers (or use a file)
- Modify one or more patron's fields (you can modify surname, firstname,
branchname, category, sort1, sort2, date of enrollment, date of expiry,
debarred date, debarred comment and borrower note)
- Save
- Check on the result page (or in database for non-displayed fields) if
modifications have been correctly made.
- re test with different attributes. For each attributes filled with an
authorized value category, you can select a value in a drop-down list.
Else it's a free input text. If your attribute is filled with a patron
category, the modification performs only on patrons belonging to this
category
- Save
- Verify on the result page
